An opportunity for our families to gather and socialize before school starts. Bring your little one(s) and get them used to our space in the company of their future classmates!
*Please note that teachers will not be on site for this event. Our office staff will be happy to answer your questions that day.
Visit Day
Join us for a firsthand look into your child’s classroom for the year! Bring them to meet their teacher and some of their classmates at this open house style event. Pop in any time during the event for a brief visit to familiarize them with their new setting.

Back to School Night
Parents, please join us for fellowship in the Parish Hall followed by a brief presentation by our director and board of trustees. After which we invite you to proceed to your child’s classroom for content from your child’s teacher. This evening is intended for adults only however if childcare is a hardship, you are welcome to bring your child(ren.)

Our school photographer will be on-site taking individual and class photos of the children. Photos will be available for optional purchase. Date assignments will be coming soon.

Your child will experience the joy and wonder of St. Nicholas as they place their shoes out for him to fill with treats during their music and movement classes these days!

A timeless tradition at SLDS, join us for photos with Santa, crafts and a tasty pancake breakfast. Tickets are limited and will go on sale two weeks prior. Multiple seatings will be available to accommodate your family’s activities for the day.

An annual tradition, join us in the church to celebrate the Christmas season with our students’ performance of “The Friendly Beasts.”

Field Day
Join us to watch your child “compete” in various athletic activities in the grove off of Wellington Ave. Your child’s assigned time will come out closer to the event date.

All families are invited to join us for our school picnic at Mount Vernon Park Association.

Join us on your child’s class’s assigned day enjoy the performance by the maypole (9:30am) and have breakfast with your child’s class.
Thursday: Monkeys, Cheetahs, 2 and 5 day Kangaroos
Friday: Giraffes, Hippos, 3 day Kangaroos and Elephants (EARLY RELEASE)

Final “Pizza Friday” of the year as well! All students may join us for a FREE pizza lunch to celebrate Field Day and the end of the year! Please sign your child up for lunch bunch if they don’t usually stay for afternoons and would like pizza.
Day School Sunday
Join fellow day school families as our students share songs and prayers at the 10am service at St. Luke’s Church. This annual event is a great way to demonstrate our bond with the church and show the members some of the things we do at our weekly chapel services.
